I decided to try making macarons. I haven't ever had one before so I didn't really even know what to compare mine to but I had to try it. I started with

I should have ground up the almond flour more here...I didn't do that...oops
This is where I should have added the food coloring...I didn't...ooops
I should have boiled the syrup down more...I didn't...ooops ( I threw away this batch of meringue and started over)
I should have used parchment paper...I didn't...ooops
hmmm....I don't think this is how they should look.
I should have beat the egg yolks more...I didn't oops (but even with this being too runny it was SOOO GOOD)
Not the prettiest little cookie but man, they are good! We'll have to try again.
